Saakib Jauhar-Rizvi, LCPC provides counseling for Adolescents, Adults, Couples, Pre-Marital and Families. He graduated from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology with Honors, specializing in Clinical Counseling. He has a background working in a wide variety of areas including Private Practices, Hospitals, Schools, In-Home services, Government agencies and Crisis Services. This experience has allowed Saakib to gain invaluable skills, serving people from multiple backgrounds, ages and life experiences.
His areas of interest and specialties include: Depression and Mood disorders, anxiety related disorders, relationship issues, behavioral management, ADHD, eating disorders, self-harm behaviors, life transitions and Couples and Family Counseling.
Saakib doesn’t believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to counseling and pulls from a variety of evidenced-based and solution-focused therapy techniques to allow a more personalized approach to counseling. Saakib utilizes techniques from CBT, DBT, Adlerian, Gestalt and Existential Psychology.
Saakib believes that the ultimate goal of therapy is for clients to live their best life, on their own terms and being true to who they are, regardless of what they have been through, what they are going through or what they may face in the future.
