Patti Di Giacinto, LCSW, CADC
Patti is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Alcohol and other Drug Counselor and provides therapy services for adult clients. She has experience working with individuals, couples and families and has worked both in a hospital setting, in a partial hospitalization program, and in the corporate world. Patti has gained clinical experience at Amita/Alexian Brothers behavioral health hospital in their Center for Addiction Medicine outpatient PHP and IOP programs and Fox Valley Volunteer Hospice in grief and bereavement counseling and program development. Patti completed executive coaching training in 2004 and additionally worked in a variety of Fortune 500 organizations as well as owned her own business providing coaching to corporate executives. She is a graduate of both Loyola University’s Master in Clinical Social Work program and Northwestern University’s Master of Science in Communication program and has her undergraduate degree from Indiana University. Patti additionally has a specialization of over 500 trained hours, and 3 additional Masters level classes in addiction counseling. Among her areas of expertise are mood disorders (depression and anxiety), addiction, trauma, grief counseling, and career counseling. Patti integrates complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. Patti’s theoretical orientation is psychodynamic coupled with specialty in CBT and ACT therapies. Patti also educates her clients about and incorporates mindfulness practice into her therapy. She is a certified trauma therapist and also a practicing EMDR therapist. With compassion and understanding, she works with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.
